AWARD Marketing PROJECT Trio WINNER Frasers Property Australia IT'S not easy to sell real estate when prices are falling but that's what Frasers Property had to do with its Trio development in the inner-west suburb of Camperdown.Launched off the plan into a high-interest-rate market from which investors had fled, Trio had to claim a market position well above its competition. It was the standout performer in the competitive marketing category. The 397-apartment Trio, designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects, is the final stage of the City Quarter complex on Booth Street, near Pyrmont Bridge Road. The 20-month marketing campaign featured a website and custom-designed magazine. Frasers engaged lifestyle and style journalists to write for the campaign and hired a high-fashion photographer, stylists and an art director to create the images.Carolyn BoydAWARD Retirement Living PROJECT Advantaged Care at Georges Manor WINNER Kresner GroupTHROUGH personal experience, father-and-son property developers Laurie and Michael Kresner discovered a gap in the aged-care market. The Kresners were shocked at the deficits they saw in aged care when, in the mid-1990s, Laurie's father needed access to such amenities.€śThe demographics of Australia were ageing much faster than industry could cope. As residential developers, we were in a position to do something about it,€ť Laurie says. The Kresner family began developing and operating aged-care centres under the Advantaged Care brand. The 143-room Georges Manor development in Georges Hall, near Bankstown, addresses much of the family's unease about the standard of Sydney's aged-care facilities. The judges said it was "an important step in the future of caring for the elderly€ť.TRS
